Bogotá, Congress of the Republic. October 10, 2022. @MinInterior. It was approved in the fourth plenary debate of the House of Representatives, The Legislative Project of the Escazú Agreement. 

This initiative reiterates the commitment of the National Government to the defense and protection of the environment, guaranteeing the right to life for environmental leaders and advocates in Colombia. 

“We thank all the congressmen for their support, it is a great decision to approve the treaty of Escazú that will allow more information, more participation, more life and environmental justice for the peace and environment of Colombia,” said Interior Minister Alfonso Prada.
