Santander de Quilichao, Cauca. October 12, 2022. @MinInterior. The Head of the Political Portfolio of the Interior, Alfonso Prada Gil, accompanied the President of the Republic, Gustavo Petro, in meeting with authorities of the 43 Community Councils of North Cauca (ACONC) and the Human Rights Roundtable dialogue with the Campesino Communities of Cauca.
These dialogues aim to listen to the needs of the black and rural communities of Cauca in order to draw up a road map with solutions for the inhabitants of the region.
In the installation of the Roundtable in Santander de Quilichao, the Minister of the Interior said: “This is the seventh time we have come, in two months of government, with a great message: to build the unity of North Cauca and work together for the development of Total Peace, the construction of a more equal and productive society.”
“It is very important to be seated at this table. We find all the social organizations, entrepreneurs, among others, building the methodology and route to a great binding social dialogue. Here, Mr. President, we all agree with the organizations, we all build the methodology,” said the head of the Interior Portfolio.
Likewise, the high official stressed, “We have the mission of building an investment and prioritization route in the National Development Plan (NDP), with the vision that you are building in the territory, but above all, the north of Cauca”.
Finally, at the Human Rights Table with the Campesino Communities of Cauca, Prada Gil said that “on November 25, we have convened the great binding social dialogue in the North of Cauca, to build the NDP with the Caucans.”
